When should I release crypto, and what if the buyer claims to have paid?

Release cryptocurrency from escrow only after verifying the payment directly in the bank, digital wallet or payment-service account designated in the order. A buyer marking an order as paid is a claim that payment was sent, not confirmation that you received it.

Before releasing, verify all of the following:

• The money appears in your receiving account.
• The amount and currency match the order.
• The sender information complies with the order and platform requirements.
• The payment is not merely scheduled, pending, held or awaiting approval.
• There are no obvious discrepancies in the transaction details.

Do not rely on a screenshot, email, text message, push notification or document supplied by the buyer. These can be altered or may show a payment that was initiated but never completed.

If the buyer claims to have paid but the funds are missing:

1. Check the receiving account through its official app or website.
2. Ask the buyer for the transaction reference and payment proof inside the trade.
3. Allow for the normal processing time of the agreed payment method.
4. Keep the cryptocurrency in escrow while the payment remains unconfirmed.
5. Preserve the order chat, payment details and any evidence.
6. Open a dispute when the option becomes available if the issue remains unresolved.

Do not release because the buyer is applying pressure or claims an emergency. An on-chain escrow release is generally irreversible. Once the crypto has been released, Senpero cannot simply return it through the original escrow transaction.

Payment verification is necessary, but it does not make a reversible payment method irreversible. Sellers should understand the reversal and chargeback rules of the payment method they accept.
