FAQ Answer

Payments and Fiat Transfers

Why must the payment name match the Senpero account name?

The payment name must match the Senpero account involved in the order so the counterparty can identify the payer, detect third-party payments and document disputes more reliably.

Answer

The account-holder name shown on the fiat payment should match the Senpero account of the buyer making the payment. This allows the seller to connect the incoming transfer to the correct order and reduces the risk created by unidentified or third-party payments.

Name matching helps:

  • Confirm that the registered counterparty sent the payment.
  • Prevent payments from unrelated friends, relatives or business accounts.
  • Reduce the risk of stolen-account use and triangulation scams.
  • Link bank records to the correct Senpero order.
  • Provide clearer evidence if a payment is disputed or recalled.

Minor differences may occur because of middle names, abbreviations, accents, transliteration or bank formatting. These differences should be reviewed, not automatically treated as fraud or ignored. A completely different account holder requires additional caution.

If the names do not match:

  1. Do not release the cryptocurrency.
  2. Ask the buyer for an explanation inside the trade chat.
  3. Compare the transfer details with the order and account information.
  4. Preserve the payment record and conversation.
  5. Open a dispute or contact support if the mismatch cannot be resolved safely.

Do not return a suspicious payment to a different account supplied through chat. That can create another transfer with no reliable connection to the original payer.

Payment-name matching is a transaction-safety requirement. It does not mean that every user or trade must undergo the same level of KYC. However, when identity verification is required, the submitted identity and payment-account ownership must remain consistent.
