The Active Trades panel keeps your pending, in-progress and disputed trades visible while you use the platform. It updates in real time, so status, phase and countdown changes appear without reloading the page.
Where to find it
- Desktop: the floating panel is in the bottom-right corner. It opens expanded when you have active trades and can be collapsed to a compact pill with the active count.
- Mobile: use the handshake button in the navigation bar beside the menu button. The badge shows how many active trades you have.
- On the trader and vendor trade pages the desktop panel collapses automatically so the trade screen stays clear. You can reopen it at any time.
- Desktop hides the panel when there are no active trades. Mobile keeps the button available and shows an empty state.
What each trade card shows
- Your side (buy or sell), crypto amount and fiat value.
- The counterparty and status: Pending, In progress or Disputed.
- The current phase: waiting for the vendor to start, awaiting escrow funding, awaiting payment, awaiting confirmation or under dispute.
- A live countdown based on the current phase deadline.
- An Action needed marker when the next step belongs to you.
What the labels mean
| Label | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | The trade exists but the vendor has not started it yet. | If you are the vendor, open the trade and start it. |
| Awaiting escrow funding | The trade is active but the required escrow funding is not complete. | Follow the funding steps on the trade page. |
| Awaiting payment | Escrow is funded and the buyer needs to pay the agreed fiat amount. | The buyer sends fiat and marks the trade as paid. |
| Awaiting confirmation | The buyer marked the trade as paid and the seller must verify the payment. | The seller confirms receipt and releases escrow. |
| Disputed | A party opened a dispute and a moderator is reviewing the trade. | Respond to evidence requests in the trade chat. |
| Completed, cancelled, expired or failed | The trade is no longer active. | Open My Trades to review the final state and details. |
Live updates and removal
The panel receives authenticated live updates for your account only. Funding, payment, confirmation, cancellation, dispute and expiry changes are reflected as they happen. Completed, cancelled, expired and failed trades leave the panel automatically. Disputed trades stay visible and highlighted until they are resolved.
Matching requests are separate
The Active Trades panel shows trades that already exist. A trade request that is still waiting for a match appears in the separate matching indicator. Once it is matched, the new trade appears in the Active Trades panel.
Privacy and session security
The panel is available only to signed-in users. The server returns only your own trades, live updates are delivered to your private authenticated socket room, and the response is not cached. When the socket session token expires, the connection is refreshed or closed automatically.
